Christmas is well and truly here and the little ones were desperate for the tree to go up, which it did at the start of December. Christmas is super special for us as a family and when Christmas Day finally arrives we are ready for family time together. We got our tree up and then our annual walk around the fields and through the woods gathering holly, pine cones and lots of greenery to decorate the house. We have greenery everywhere within the house including our candelabra with candles, holly, lights and finished with a bit of snow. Now we have the kittens, we have had to use some of the holly as a deterrent at the base of the tree.

It has also been tree time at the shop, a tree in the main showroom and also one in the salon de thé, with lots of other decorations around the shop. It is always lovely having customers coming into buy some beautiful gifts for the Festive period. This weekend will be the local town Christmas Market, lots of fun for the children and will report more next week.

On Sunday it was the local netball club (a new thing in France, but a wonderful mix of French, British and even Portuguese playing). It was a fun Christmas tournament and even Pere Noel turned up – maybe the writer of this might know a bit more! A great time was had by all and another step towards Christmas.

The ensuite is nearly finished and we are keeping it under wraps as the finishing touches will be very exciting to share with you and everything that we have being doing to get it finished for Christmas, but it is nearly there now.
